| HIPS DON'T LIE DOUBLE-PLATINUM DIGITAL SINGLE CERTIFICATION The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has handed out its monthly Gold and Platinum plaques for the month of June, with Madonna's Hard Candy earning a Gold record along with her single, "4 Minutes." Welsh singer Duffy’s debut album, Rockferry, achieved Gold status within one month of its release, marking the first certification for the young artist to commemorate more than 500,000 in sales. Additional first Gold records went to Ashley Tisdale for both her debut album Headstrong and her popular single, "He Said, She Said." Pop/rockers Metro Station also hit the Gold mark for the first time with their single, "Shake It." Reaching Platinum prestige is Linkin Park for "Shadow of the Day," since the single sold more than one million copies. Elsewhere, double-Platinum digital single certifications were awarded to Shakira for "Hips Don’t Lie" and Finger Eleven for the ubiquitous hit "Paralyzer." Seether earned its fourth Gold record for Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces, and they also earned a Gold single for the track "Fake It."The highest album certification in June – 7x multi-Platinum – went to Evanescence’s Fallen to commemorate sales exceeding seven million copies since the album’s unveiling five years ago.
