The concert by the Colombian artist Shakira at the Rock in Rio Madrid festival marked a real record as, across the signal TVE (Spanish Television), reached the highest ratings of any transmission, doubling its average share.

In the show that she gave last Friday July 4, the young native of Barranquilla played hits like "Te Dejo Madrid", "Si te vas", "La Tortura", "Suerte", "Las de intuición" and "Inevitable ".

In addition to the Antonio De la Rua's girfriend, other artists also participated in this event such as Alanis Morissette, Neil Young, Alejandro Sanz, Lenny Kravitz and Bob Dylan, among others.

The closure of the event featured performances of Dutch DJ Tiesto, the American musician Lenny Kravitz, the Scottish group Franz Ferdinand and the Mexican Cafe Tacuba.

The organizers of the Rock in Rio Madrid announced that the new edition will be held in 2010 and, after the excellent results obtained, the directors of TVE did not hesitate to again secure the rights.
